Most of my work over the past two decades has been in the field of language education. I got my start in this field as a tutor of English and Japanese while pursuing my undergraduate degree at University of Hawaii in the late 1980s. I then began teaching at Sony Language Laboratory in Osaka, Japan in 1990. Since that time, I have taught English as a Second or Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) in various corporate or educational settings, most recently in the Faculty of Economics at Kobe Gakuin University.
