My interest in the field of curriculum development is the direct result of a job assignment while I was employeed as a language instructor at the Osaka Branch of Sony Language Laboratory in 1990. I was asked to revamp the public speaking (speech communication) course that had been designed by one of my predecesors. Since that time, I have worked on several curriculum projects in both corporate and educational settings.

The three artifacts introduced here include the Business English program I am currently developing for Kobe Gakuin University, an extension course I worked on for the faculty of economics at Konan University in Kobe, Japan, and a course for students in our department who are preparing for an internship program in Thailand.
